SPONSORS & PARTNERS

Help Us Turn a Good Idea Into a Community Resource

Marin Power connects local resources with neighbors who may need help during flooding and extended power outages.

We’re looking for businesses, organizations, public agencies, technical experts, EV partners, and community members who can contribute equipment, expertise, space, transportation, funding, outreach, or connections.

You don’t need to know exactly where you fit. Below are the resources and roles we’re considering. Tell us what you’d like to offer, and we’ll explore how it might fit the project.

  • Businesses and organizations: Contribute services, equipment, professional expertise, volunteers, outreach, funding, or introductions to people and organizations that can help.
  • EV dealers and EV partners: Help share information with eligible EV owners, identify compatible vehicles, support demonstrations and testing, sponsor equipment, or help recruit volunteers. Participation would be voluntary, and customer information would remain private unless individuals choose to connect with Marin Power directly.
  • Insurance and risk partners: Provide funding, risk-management expertise, data, analysis, outreach, or guidance on whether preventive pumping could reduce property damage, displacement, and recovery costs.
  • Plumbers, water professionals, and technical experts: Advise on pumps, hoses, fittings, drainage, equipment selection, operating procedures, testing, training, maintenance, and procurement.
  • Sponsors: Support operational needs such as pumps, hoses, fittings, electrical protection, V2L equipment, storage, transportation, safety equipment, training, testing, replacement parts, and other project expenses.
  • Public agencies and municipal partners: Share flood, drainage, public-works, and emergency-management expertise; help identify potential deployment locations; provide coordination guidance; or support equipment stewardship and long-term planning.
  • Storage and equipment stewardship partners: Provide a secure location where pumps, hoses, electrical equipment, and supplies can be stored, inspected, maintained, inventoried, and prepared for deployment.
  • Transportation partners: Help reduce the logistical burden on volunteer EV owners through loaner or rental vehicles, dealer programs, transportation services, rides, or other support.
  • Technology and engineering partners: Assist with EV power systems, V2L technology, electrical safety, pump controls, monitoring, communications, data collection, equipment testing, and deployment tracking.
  • Founding partners: Help shape how the program develops—including equipment choices, volunteer training, storage, coordination, eligibility, and long-term stewardship. Founding partners will help build the model, not simply place a logo on a website.
  • Community members and organizations: Offer an EV, equipment, professional knowledge, volunteer time, or connections to local neighborhoods, businesses, and potential partners. Community organizations can also help identify local needs, recruit volunteers, share preparedness information, and build trusted relationships before an emergency. You may also be able to connect us with someone who should know about Marin Power.

The strongest emergency networks are built before an emergency happens. If you’re interested in becoming a partner, use the form below to tell us what you can offer or who you’d like to connect us with.
